Mission Statement
The mission of Luther Manor is to show God's love for older adults by providing a comprehensive and compassionate program of excellent housing, care and services contributing to the wholeness of body, mind and spirit.

Philosophy
The philosophy of Luther Manor is to fulfill our mission and vision by collaborating with clients, their families (advocates), friends and staff to ensure that actual and perceived needs are assessed and addressed in ways that:

  • Affirm and Nurture the spirituality of each person
  • Retain client participation in decision-making
  • Promote and Foster independence and personal autonomy
  • Maintain a service-rich environment of caring among clients, families, volunteers and staff
  • Utilize Luther Manor programs and services, as well as those of the broader community


Luther Manor What We Do



General
  • Luther Manor is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) serving more than 900 residents on a 29-acre campus in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin
  • More than 600 full- and part-time employees
  • More than 500 adult and teen volunteers
  • 73 corporately affiliated Lutheran congregations from the Greater Milwaukee area
  • 18-member Board of Directors, elected to 3-year terms
  • More than 60,000 hours of volunteer service annually

Luther Manor Terrace (Independent Living Apartments)
  • 424 Independent Living Unit (ILU) retirement apartments (studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom)
  • Initial founders fee required, plus monthly maintenance fee based on square footage
Luther Manor Residence (Supportive/Assisted Living)
  • 164 Units, including one-room and two-room apartments, supportive living for those unable to live safely alone
  • Residents require no more than three hours of nursing care per week
  • Licensed as a Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF)
  • Memory loss program offered
  • Short Term and respite care available
  • Initial founders fee plus daily fee or rental option, based on services needed
Luther Manor Health Care Center (Skilled Nursing Facility)
  • 245 skilled care beds, professional nursing care available 24 hours a day
  • Medicare (Title XVIII) & Medicaid (Title XIX) certified
  • Special Care (dementia) Center and late stage dementia programs
Outreach Programs/Services
  • Adult Day Center serving up to 50 participants per day. Alzheimer's/dementia program available
  • Luther Manor Lakefield Adult Day Center serving the Ozaukee/Washington County Area
  • 10 Senior Centers, co-sponsored with member congregations
  • Parish Nurse and Care Management programs, Resource Library, Speakers Bureau
  • Health Services Center featuring primary care physicians, rehabilitation therapies and dental, podiatry, geropsychiatry, pharmacy, optometry, audiology and dermatology services
  • Community Support Groups for Alzheimer's disease and Alcoholics Anonymous
  • Information and Referral Services
TenderCare Luther Manor
  • Child Day Care Center service for children 6 weeks to 6 years of age
  • Intergenerational programming opportunities
