What is the difference between assisted living and a nursing home?

Assisted living differs from a nursing home in that residents are medically stable and they do not require access to 24-hour nursing care. Assisted living is able to provide supportive services such as housekeeping, laundry, meals, and personal care in the comfort of their private apartment. back to top
